Engagements

Yesterday, Steve, myself, and Britanee met up with Janelle of LaBella Photography to have our engagement pictures taken. We took some in a burned-out railcar, in Saltair's old power panel building, on the Great Salt Lake shore, and at a warehouse in Salt Lake City.

They turned out better than I was hoping and I can't wait to get the rest of them.

Thank you Janelle!

New Year's 2009

I do not celebrate New Year's. Period. New Year's Eve is a drinking holiday.

So is St. Patrick's Day.

Do you know how hard it is for me to stay awake, let alone alert, until midnight on a work night? Close to impossible. Well, the Wells' family LOVES to celebrate New Year's and definitely rings in the new year with style. This past Eve we were at Uncle Mark's home where my future-in-law brought over his band and they rocked the house until well after midnight. There were games, movies, even slight dancing. At one point, Steve grabbed his guitar and performed while the other band rested.

I will admit, I had fun. I did miss my bed and was so grateful to climb into it at 1:30 am. Surprised I stayed up that late? Me too. It was great, fun, fabulous, and super loud but it was a great way to cap off 2009 and ring in 2010.

Good Riddance

Am I the only one who looks back on 2009 and wonder where it went? I sure hope not because this past year has flown by for me! I started 2009 being a completely different person and am so thankful that I’ll celebrate 2010 as the person I am today. I am eternally grateful to all of my family and the many prayers they’ve said for me throughout the year. Thank you to all of my friends for the support that you’ve given me. I could not have made it through without all of you.

I’m looking forward to the joys and experiences that 2010 has to offer and can’t wait for March 25th to arrive! I love the feeling of closing one chapter and opening another, the excitement gets me every time. I will be making quite a few changes in 2010:

  • No more shopping: I have to get rid of the addiction somehow and I might as well quit cold-turkey
  • Organization: personal, professional, house-hold, you name it!
  • Work towards the temple: You have NO idea how excited about this I am
  • Become a Wells: As much as this wedding is stressing me out, I’m looking forward to spending the rest of my life with Steven James Wells
  • Paying off debt: Etsy was supposed to be my way of paying off debt and I turned it into a way to succumb to my retail therapy. It will be used as it was intended from now on.
  • Scrapbooking: I have A TON of photos to catch up on!

With that being said, I want to wish everyone a fabulous new year! Please have fun, make memories, but BE SAFE! Thank you and I love you all!

Haymond Family Pictures

This past November, our family got together with Janelle of LaBella Photography for our family pictures. They turned out awesome and yes, we are in the middle of a snowstorm. Good times!

Mini Stewart Reunion

This weekend was definitely a busy one. Steve had some cousins come into town late last night and it has been 11 years since they've all been together! Today they decided to go to Salt Lake and meet up with 2 of his brothers so that we could get a "cousin picture" and catch up with everyone. We headed to the Gateway Mall and hung out there for most of the day.

We started with the big Stewart family picture and then took cousin pictures from there. After a tiny bit of shopping, we headed to lunch at California Pizza Kitchen and shopped a little more. Towards the end, we found ourselves at the arcade and playing pool.

I had a great time with these girls and absolutely love Steve's family! Thank you for visiting and I hope we see you in March!

Logan Trip

Yesterday, Steve and I headed to Logan to visit our family. We made our first stop at Grandma and Grandpa Wolfley's so they could meet Steve. We stayed for a few hours and enjoyed lunch with everyone. Carol and Don even came up! I don't remember how long it has been since I've seen them!

After lunch, Uncle Don presented Grandpa with a gift that Ryan had made. It is a B-E-A-Utiful wooden box that houses a brass canon. It is GORGEOUS! I couldn't believe the craftsmanship. Unfortunately, those are the only pictures I got while I was up there, but we definitely had a blast!

Thank you for letting us stop by Grandma and Grandpa! We can't wait to see you again!
